Indian Premier League (IPL) Fun Facts

The IPL 2014 tournament starts on the 16th April with the defending champs, Mumbai Indians, taking on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, in Abu Dhabi.

The first 20 matches will be played in the United Arab Emirates while India hold their elections – then it’s back to the cricket crazy crowds of India on the 2nd May for the remaining 36 matches + the 4 playoffs. Check out the schedule updates  at www.ipl20.com

  • Mitchell Johnson – 6 crores to Kings XI ($1.28 million)
  • Jacques Kallis – 5.5 crores to KKR ($1.18 million)
