How do tissue salts work?
Biochemical tissue salts, or cell salts, are mineral salts that exist in the cells and play a critical role in cellular metabolism. They are some of the more misunderstood supplements. Often confused with homeopathic products, they’re actually part of the Biochemic System of Medicine and are better recognised as naturopathic remedies.

Tissue Salts vs. Homeopathy
In the case of homeopathic remedies, they are prescribed on the basis of the “law of similars” (like cures like). Thus, if a given remedy is given to a healthy person and produces certain symptoms, it will cure those same symptoms in a sick person.
The use of cell salts by Dr Schuessler’s method is based on the “law of opposites.” If there is a deficiency of a specific cell salt, then one must supply a small quantity of that salt to remove any symptoms arising from that deficiency.Tissue Salt Therapy is Based on Natural Principles

Dr W.H Schüssler developed twelve remedies which he called salts–meaning compounds–that can correct imbalances at the cellular level and successfully treat illnesses. He believed that health is the body’s natural state and that diseases were accompanied by biochemical imbalances of twelve vital mineral compounds, and that the body can heal itself by restoring an underlying imbalance.
Schüssler analysed human blood and tissues and found the most essential minerals to be calcium, chlorine, fluorine, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, silica, sodium and sulfur. The twelve naturally occurring tissue salts are made up of combinations of these minerals.
